Food-Grade Phytase Enzyme
Food-grade phytase is a highly efficient biological enzyme designed to hydrolyze phytic acid (inositol hexakisphosphate) naturally present in grains, legumes, oilseeds, and other plant-derived raw materials. Phytic acid forms strong complexes with minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, and magnesium, which reduces their bioavailability. By progressively releasing the phosphate groups from the phytic acid molecule, phytase significantly improves the digestibility and nutritional value of plant-based ingredients.
This solid enzyme powder is formulated for use in grain processing, soy applications, plant-based beverages, nutritional products, bakery formulations, feed industry and soil improvement solutions. It offers excellent dispersibility in aqueous environments and can be easily integrated into existing production processes without negatively affecting product flavor or appearance.
Main Benefits

Mechanism of Action
Phytase acts by stepwise hydrolyzing phytic acid (IP6) into lower inositol phosphates (IP5 → IP1) and free phosphate. Each hydrolysis step reduces the molecule’s ability to bind minerals and proteins, ultimately breaking down the anti-nutritional structure. This biochemical reaction:
- Releases valuable minerals previously locked in phytic complexes
- Improves the solubility of proteins and essential nutrients
- Enhances the stability of plant-based beverages and grain slurries
- Contributes to better texture, smoother mouthfeel, and improved nutritional labeling

Dos yang Disyorkan
Actual dosage should be optimized through trials, but the following can be used as reference:
- Food processing (grains, soy, plant-based beverages):
0.1–0.3 kg phytase per metric ton of raw material. - Corn steep liquor / corn mash processing:
0.5–1.0 kg phytase per metric ton of raw material, depending on phytic acid content and process intensity. - Soil remediation & soil improvement:
1–2 kg phytase per metric ton of treated substrate or soil blend, adjusted according to organic phosphorus level and application method.
These ranges are intended as general guidelines. For best results, conduct pilot trials and adjust dosage based on raw material characteristics, target phytic acid reduction, and process conditions.
Storage & Handling
- Store in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight.
- Keep the package tightly sealed when not in use to maintain enzyme activity.
- Avoid exposure to high humidity and high temperatures.
- Use appropriate protective equipment to avoid dust inhalation during handling.
