Laccase (CAS 80498-15-3) is applied in tertiary wastewater treatment and effluent polishing to oxidize phenols, dyes, and other recalcitrant aromatic compounds, supporting color removal and COD reduction in textile, paper, and chemical plant discharge. Catalase is dosed post-oxidation to rapidly decompose residual hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) into water and oxygen, preventing biomass inhibition in biological treatment tanks and enabling safe discharge. High-activity alkaline protease (200,000 U/g) is used in sludge conditioning and high-protein industrial wastewater streams to hydrolyze complex proteins, improving biodegradability and reducing sludge viscosity. Selected microbial consortia are introduced into solid waste treatment systems and composting lines to accelerate degradation of mixed organic fractions under stable temperature conditions, shortening stabilization time and reducing odor.
