How to Stop the Enzyme (Deactivation)

If you need to terminate enzyme activity at the end of processing, deactivation can be achieved by:

• Adjusting the bath to pH > 9.0 and holding for 5 minutes

• Borax (sodium borate)
• Alkaline detergents
