Food-Grade Medium-Temperature Alpha-Amylase for Plant Extraction | Filtration-Enhancing Enzyme Preparation
Food-Grade Medium-Temperature Alpha-Amylase is a specialized enzyme preparation designed specifically for use in the plant extraction industry. It is developed for botanical processing applications where improved filtration performance, viscosity reduction, and higher extraction efficiency are required. This enzyme preparation is suitable for food-grade processing environments and is widely used in herbal and botanical extraction workflows.
This product is manufactured through advanced submerged liquid fermentation using selected microbial strains. The resulting compound enzyme preparation mainly composed of medium-temperature α-amylase, and also contains β-glucanase, pectinase, etc. The enzyme system has extremely strong synergistic effects. It mainly hydrolyzes starch, pectin, glucan and other macromolecular substances, reduces the viscosity of extracts, lowers the risk of slag blocking, and improves filtration speed.
Main Application
This enzyme is primarily applied in the field of plant extraction. During botanical extraction, large amounts of starch, dextrin, and other macromolecular carbohydrates are released from plant tissues. These high-molecular-weight substances increase the viscosity of the extract, slow down filtration, and may cause filter clogging.
Medium-Temperature Alpha-Amylase hydrolyzes starch and dextrin into smaller, soluble sugars. By breaking down these macromolecules, it significantly reduces extract viscosity, decreases filtration blockage, minimizes filtration risk, and improves overall filtration speed. As a result, production throughput increases and downstream clarification becomes more efficient.
In addition to improving filtration, the enzyme supports smoother processing, improved extract clarity, and more stable extraction conditions. It is suitable for various herbal roots, leaves, stems, fruits, and other plant-based raw materials.
