Ethanol Production
Industrial ethanol production depends on consistent starch and lignocellulosic conversion under demanding temperature and pH conditions. This range includes liquid enzyme preparations in food-grade and technical-grade formats for liquefaction, saccharification, protein hydrolysis, and fiber breakdown across grain, molasses, and cellulosic feedstocks. Designed for continuous plants and large batch fermenters, these enzymes support higher fermentable sugar yields, improved fermentation efficiency, and tighter process control.

Applications
Thermostable alpha-amylase (CAS 9000-90-2) is applied during high-temperature liquefaction of corn, wheat, or cassava mash (85–105°C) to reduce viscosity and hydrolyze gelatinized starch into dextrins, enabling efficient downstream saccharification and improved pumpability. Acid protease (CAS 9014-01-1) is dosed in mash or fermentation to hydrolyze grain proteins under acidic conditions, increasing free amino nitrogen (FAN) and supporting yeast performance and ethanol yield. Cellulase (CAS 9012-54-8) is used in lignocellulosic bioethanol processes to break down cellulose into fermentable sugars after pretreatment, improving conversion rates and overall sugar recovery. Specialized protease-based molasses formulations enhance nutrient availability and fermentation stability in cane and beet molasses ethanol plants.
Product Range
The portfolio covers thermostable alpha-amylase, acid protease, and cellulase preparations supplied in liquid form with industrial activity grades suitable for large-scale ethanol and biofuel operations. Food-grade and technical-grade options are available depending on plant requirements, with activity ranges tailored for high-solids mashes and continuous processing. Products are manufactured for consistent batch-to-batch performance and are suitable for scale-up from pilot trials to full commercial production.
