Applications
Acid cellulase is applied during leaf conditioning and re-drying to partially hydrolyze cellulose in lamina and stem, improving flexibility and reducing breakage during threshing and cutting. In reconstituted tobacco sheet production, controlled cellulase treatment supports fiber dispersion and improves sheet uniformity and tensile properties. Acid protease is used under acidic conditions (pH 2.5–4.5) in casing or pre-treatment stages to hydrolyze tobacco proteins, increasing soluble nitrogen fractions and influencing flavor precursor development. Compound protease blends are applied where broader substrate specificity is required, accelerating protein breakdown, improving extract yield, and supporting more consistent fermentation and aging profiles.

Product Range
The portfolio includes acid cellulase preparations and proteolytic enzymes such as acid protease (Aspergillus niger, CAS 9001-75-6) and compound protease powders for tobacco applications. Liquid formats are available up to 100,000 U/ml, with high-activity solid powders for controlled dosing in dry blending systems.
