Food Grade Catalase Enzyme
Product Description: This product is produced by fermentation of a selected microorganism followed by purification and formulation. The enzyme effectively catalyzes the hydrolysis of hydrogen peroxide into oxygen and water, which can be widely used in food, textile, paper, electronics, and other industries to remove hydrogen peroxide with a significant saving of water resources and energy.
Mechanism: Catalase catalyzes the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen.
• H2O2 + Fe(III)-E → H2O + O=Fe(IV)-E(+)
• H2O2 + O=Fe(IV)-E(+) → H2O + Fe(III)-E + O2

Application
- Textile Industry: An ecofriendly solution to remove hydrogen peroxide after bleaching and before dyeing without damaging fibers, saving water, energy, and time.
- Paper Making Industry: Degradation of residual hydrogen peroxide after bleaching.
- Electronics Industry: Removal of hydrogen peroxide after circuit erosion, saving water, energy, and time.
- Food Industry: Elimination of residual hydrogen peroxide wherever relevant, like in food bleaching, starch denaturation, milk production, egg product processing, cheese manufacture, and other cases, where hydrogen peroxide is used either as a bleaching agent, oxidant, or disinfectant; also used as a leavening agent of baking food.
- Potential Use: For other applications where the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide is beneficial.
