Product Description
Food Grade Glucose Oxidase (for gluconate production) is a specialized liquid enzyme preparation designed for use in the production of gluconic acid salts. It is widely applied in the manufacturing processes of sodium gluconate, zinc gluconate, calcium gluconate, and other gluconate products.
Under aerobic conditions, glucose oxidase selectively catalyzes the oxidation of glucose to form gluconic acid lactone, while simultaneously consuming oxygen and generating hydrogen peroxide. The lactone then undergoes hydrolysis to produce gluconic acid. In industrial applications, the enzyme is commonly used together with catalase (hydrogen peroxide decomposing enzyme) to maintain reaction stability and improve overall process efficiency.
This liquid enzyme formulation allows for convenient dosing, uniform dispersion, and stable performance during continuous or batch production. It operates effectively within a broad range of temperature and pH conditions, making it suitable for controlled enzymatic conversion processes in gluconate salt manufacturing.
Application Fields
Applied in the production of gluconate salts.
