Phytase [EC 3.1.3.26] is incorporated during premix or post-pellet application to hydrolyze phytic acid in corn–soy and wheat-based diets, increasing available phosphorus and calcium while reducing inorganic phosphate supplementation and P excretion. Xylanase, β-glucanase, cellulase [EC 3.2.1.4], and β-mannanase [EC 3.2.1.78] are dosed in grinding or mixing stages to break down arabinoxylans, β-glucans, cellulose, and mannans, lowering digesta viscosity and improving metabolizable energy in poultry and swine rations. Protease (acid and neutral) supports protein hydrolysis in high-soy or alternative protein diets, improving amino acid digestibility and feed conversion ratios. α-Amylase [EC 3.2.1.1] enhances starch liquefaction in cereal-heavy formulations, while lipase (CAS 232-619-9) improves fat utilization in high-energy feeds. Silage enzyme complexes are applied at ensiling to accelerate fiber degradation and lactic fermentation, improving dry matter preservation and aerobic stability.
