Food-Grade Pectinase for Plant Extraction

Activity: 10000 U/mL  |  Grade: Food grade

Overview

Food-Grade Pectinase for Plant Extraction is a high-performance enzyme solution developed for plant-based extraction workflows. It is intended for the clarification and process optimization of plant extract
liquids, helping producers improve clarity, stability, and downstream filtration efficiency while maintaining a food-grade formulation.

In many botanical processes, naturally occurring pectins and related polysaccharides can increase viscosity, bind valuable compounds, and create haze or sediment. This pectinase is designed to target those structures to support efficient extraction, faster separation, and cleaner final liquids. It is well suited for applications such as citrus peel processing (including orange peel / hesperidin workflows), grape and grape seed processing, and
botanical / herbal material extraction and processing.

Primary Application

Mainly used in the clarification of plant extraction liquids. It is intended for processes where improved transparency, reduced haze, and smoother filtration are desired in plant-derived liquid systems.

How It Works

Pectinase enzymes hydrolyze pectin structures that contribute to turbidity and high viscosity in plant extracts. By breaking down pectin components and supporting disruption of cell wall networks, this product helps release entrapped compounds, lowers system viscosity, promotes clarification, and improves filtration behavior. This can translate to more consistent processing, higher throughput, and improved appearance of the final extract liquid.

This product is a high-efficiency, purpose-built compound enzyme preparation produced through liquid submerged fermentation using premium microbial strains. It is mainly formulated with pectinase (hydrolyzing α-1,4 galacturonic acid linkages), and also contains cellulase and hemicellulase systems. These enzyme systems work synergistically to effectively break down plant cell walls and rapidly degrade pectin and other macromolecular polysaccharides.
