Lyocell Dissolving Pulp Activation Enzyme

This product is a specialized enzymatic preparation designed for the activation of cellulose fibers in Lyocell dissolving pulp systems. It is formulated to enhance fiber swelling, improve solvent penetration, and optimize the dissolution behavior of cellulose during Lyocell fiber production.

By selectively acting on the amorphous regions and fiber surfaces, the enzyme improves pulp reactivity without excessive degradation of cellulose chains. This controlled activation contributes to improved process stability, higher dissolution efficiency, and enhanced quality of regenerated cellulose fibers.

Product Form

  • Color: Yellow to brown
  • Physical State: Liquid
  • Odor: Mild fermentation odor
  • Solubility: Easily soluble in water

Due to variations in raw materials and production cycles, slight differences in color may occur. These variations do not affect product performance.

Recommended Operating Conditions

  • Temperature Range: 35–65°C
  • Optimal pH Range: 6.0–7.0

The enzyme shows stable activity under near-neutral pH conditions, making it suitable for Lyocell pulp pretreatment processes that require controlled and predictable fiber activation.

Dosage Guidance

Typical addition level ranges from 0.05% to 0.5% based on dry pulp weight. An optimal dosage of approximately 0.1% is commonly used, though the exact amount should be determined according to pulp characteristics and specific process conditions.

Application Method

During Lyocell fiber production, dissolving pulp must be completely dissolved in N-methylmorpholine N-oxide (NMMO). Prior to dissolution, the use of a cellulase enzyme to activate the pulp can improve fiber swelling and increase the cellulose content in the spinning dope.

The addition method can be selected as either batch addition or continuous addition according to specific process conditions.

Typical reaction time ranges from 45 to 90 minutes, with a bath ratio of 1:7 to 1:25.

Actual application conditions should be optimized based on the specific production process. After completion of the enzymatic reaction, adjusting the pH above 10 and/or increasing the temperature above 90°C and maintaining for at least 15 minutes will effectively terminate enzyme activity.

Performance Benefits

  • Activates dissolving pulp and improves fiber swelling behavior
  • Reduces cellulose aggregation and enhances dissolution efficiency
  • Improves uniformity of cellulose solutions
  • Contributes to higher-quality Lyocell fibers

Storage Conditions

Store the product in a sealed container in a cool, dry environment. Avoid direct sunlight. Lower storage temperatures help maintain enzyme activity and extend shelf life.

Packaging

Standard packaging is 1 kg bottle (supplied in an industrial-grade plain bottle). Please note that the product image is for illustration purposes. Actual packaging may differ.

Safety Information

This product is a biodegradable enzyme preparation. Individuals with enzyme sensitivity should minimize direct contact. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin exposure. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water. Standard industrial hygiene practices are recommended during handling and use.
