Food-Grade Neutral Protease is an enzymatic processing aid developed for neutral-condition plant extraction applications. It is used in botanical extraction workflows to improve filtration performance by hydrolyzing proteins and protein-like colloids that can contribute to high viscosity, haze formation, and filter clogging. By breaking down these macromolecules into smaller peptides, the enzyme helps reduce viscosity, improves liquor flowability, and supports faster clarification, resulting in a cleaner extract stream and more stable downstream operations.

This product is intended for use in neutral plant extraction processes where temperature and pH can be controlled within an effective operating window. Suggested Use

Process reference:
Soak the botanical raw material in warm water for 30 minutes. Activate the compound enzyme in a 40°C water bath for 5–10 minutes. When the temperature and pH have been adjusted to the required conditions, slowly add the enzyme solution and stir gently. Maintain constant temperature and perform enzymatic hydrolysis for about 2 hours (depending on the specific botanical material). After hydrolysis, proceed with the extraction process steps.

Practical guidance: Maintain the operating window (40–55°C, pH 4.5–6.0) during treatment. The actual treatment time may be adjusted based on raw material type, solids loading, and filtration/clarity targets.
