Xylanase for Botanical Extraction

Xylanase is a food-grade enzyme preparation with an activity of 110,000 U/g, designed for botanical extraction and herbal material processing. It is used in workflows involving isoflavones and saponins, and in processes where the depolymerization of polysaccharide macromolecular aggregates supports improved extraction performance and recovery of hydrolysis products. In herbal processing, Xylanase is commonly applied to reduce slurry and filtrate viscosity, improve flowability, and help downstream operations such as filtration and clarification run more smoothly and consistently.

Applications

  • Extraction processes for isoflavones and saponins
  • Degradation of polysaccharide macromolecular aggregates and extraction of their hydrolysis products
  • Herbal material processing where viscosity reduction improves processability and efficiency

Recommended Dosage

  • 0.3–0.5% (w/w, dry basis)
  • 0.3–0.5% (w/w, based on dry herbal material)

Operating Conditions

  • Effective temperature range: 40°C–55°C
  • Effective pH range: 4.5–6.0

Key Benefits (Process-Focused)

  • Viscosity reduction: Helps decrease extract/slurry viscosity during herbal processing for easier handling.
  • Improved process flow: Supports more consistent mixing, pumping, and filtration.
  • Extraction support: Suitable for workflows targeting isoflavones and saponins, and for polysaccharide aggregate breakdown with recovery of hydrolysis products.
  • Defined use window: Optimized for operation within 40–55°C and pH 4.5–6.0.

Apply within the recommended dosage and operating ranges above, then fine-tune residence time and process parameters based on your raw material characteristics and extraction objectives.
