Alkaline protease (CAS 9014-01-1) is widely used for protein hydrolysis in meat, soy, dairy and plant protein processing, improving solubility, digestibility and yield in hydrolysate production. In feed manufacturing, it enhances protein availability in fermented soybean meal, fish meal and compound feeds, supporting better nutrient utilization and cost control. Detergent and textile formulators use alkaline protease enzyme preparations for removal of blood, egg and grass protein stains under high-pH wash conditions. In leather processing, alkaline endo-proteases enable efficient dehairing and bating, reducing chemical load and improving hide quality.

Typical activities range from 100,000–200,000 U/g (powder) and up to 200,000 U/mL (liquid), produced mainly from Bacillus licheniformis with controlled fermentation and downstream purification. Available in food grade, feed grade and industrial grades, supplied in bulk-ready packaging for integration into automated dosing systems and large-scale production lines.
