Applications
Used across baking, dairy, feed, detergents, pulp and paper, leather processing and fat and oil hydrolysis. In bread and flour applications, lipase and phospholipase preparations improve dough stability, gluten strength, crumb structure and loaf volume while reducing reliance on chemical emulsifiers. In animal feed, lipase supports fat digestibility and feed conversion efficiency, particularly in poultry and swine diets. Industrial alkaline and acid lipases are applied in detergent formulations for fat stain removal, in paper mills to control pitch and stickies from OCC and recycled fiber and in leather degreasing to improve fat removal and processing consistency.

Primary CAS numbers include 9001-62-1 and 232-619-9, depending on grade and regulatory classification. Activity ranges span 20,000 U/g, 100,000 U/g and 120,000 U/g powders, as well as liquid alkaline lipase formats for direct dosing; production strains are typically Aspergillus niger via submerged fermentation. Available as food grade, feed grade and industrial-grade preparations, suitable for batch or continuous dosing systems and scale-up to full production volumes.
