Enzymes.bio sells industrial and research-grade enzymes to businesses and researchers worldwide. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights.

1. Who We Are

2. What We Collect

  • Order data: Name, billing/shipping address, email, phone, payment method. Required to process and ship your order.
  • Payment data: Processed by Stripe or PayPal. We never store card numbers on our servers.
  • Account data: If you create an account — email and password (hashed).
  • Analytics data: Pages visited, time on site, device type — collected via Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Both are configured to anonymize IP addresses.
  • Communications: Emails you send us are kept for customer service purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Process and fulfill your order (legal basis: contract performance)
  • Send order confirmations and shipping updates (legal basis: contract performance)
  • Respond to inquiries (legal basis: legitimate interest)
  • Improve site performance and user experience (legal basis: legitimate interest)
  • Comply with legal obligations such as tax records (legal basis: legal obligation)

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for automated profiling or marketing emails unless you have explicitly opted in.

4. Who We Share Data With

  • Stripe / PayPal — payment processing
  • ดีเอชแอล เอ็กซ์เพรส — international shipping (name, address, phone for customs declaration)
  • Google Analytics 4 — anonymized site analytics
  • Microsoft Clarity — session recordings (no personally identifiable info)

All third-party processors are contractually bound to handle your data securely and only for the stated purpose.

5. International Transfers

We ship to 54+ countries. Your order data (name, address) is shared with DHL for customs clearance in your country. This is required by law for international shipments.

6. Data Retention

Order records are kept for 7 years for accounting and tax compliance. Analytics data is retained per Google and Microsoft default retention settings. You may request deletion of personal data not required for legal compliance at any time.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / Privacy Act 2020)

If you are in the EU, UK, or New Zealand, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of data we hold about you
  • Correction — request inaccurate data be corrected
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data (where not required by law)
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for the shopping cart and checkout session. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Clarity) are set based on your consent via our cookie banner. You can disable analytics cookies at any time without affecting your ability to shop.

9. Security

Our site uses HTTPS (TLS 1.3). Payments are handled entirely by PCI-DSS certified processors (Stripe, PayPal). Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. We conduct regular security reviews.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our practices change or when required by law. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
