Applications
Widely used in beer brewing to reduce mash viscosity, improve lautering speed and enhance filtration throughput, especially in barley- and oat-heavy grists; our 13,000 U/g liquid beta-glucanase is optimized for direct dosing in mash tuns. In wine making, food grade β-glucanase supports grape cell wall degradation, improves pressing yield, accelerates clarification and assists with aging and mouthfeel management in red and white wines. For feed mills, beta-glucanase powder is applied in livestock and poultry rations to reduce intestinal viscosity from cereal β-glucans, improving nutrient digestibility and feed conversion ratios. Plant extraction and botanical processing operations use 3-beta-glucanase preparations to increase polysaccharide release, extraction yield and downstream filtration efficiency.
