Product Description
This product is a 5′-Phosphodiesterase preparation produced by submerged fermentation of Penicillium citrinum followed by purification, formulation, and drying. Nuclease has important applications in industrial production of 5′-nucleotide and savory product production like yeast extract.
Function and Application
- Industrial production of 5′-nucleotides.
- Industrial production of high nucleotides extract.
Mechanism
Nucleases act on (3 ‘, 5 ‘) -phosphodiester bonds of single-stranded DNA or RNA to form 5 ‘-nucleotides. The enzyme also breaks down the 3 ‘-phosphate monoester bond in a nucleotide or oligonucleotide.

Safe Handling Precautions
Enzyme preparations are proteins that may induce sensitization and cause allergic-type symptoms in susceptible individuals. Prolonged contact may cause minor irritation for skin, eyes, or nasal mucosa. Any direct contact with the human body should be avoided. If irritation or allergic response for skin or eyes develops, please consult a doctor.
