Using Effects
Gelatin Hydrolase is a digestive enzyme, which can resolve protein coagulated by gastric action into peptone but not further into amino acid. Its digestion is the highest when hydrochloric acid amount only reaches 0.2%-0.4% (pH=1.6-1.8). Therefore, Gelatin Hydrolase is usually combined with dilute hydrochloric acid. Gelatin Hydrolase is clinically applied to:
- Indigestion caused by eating too much protein food
- Chronic atrophic gastritis caused by convalescent decreased digestive function
- Gastric cancer
- Anapepsia caused by pernicious anemia
It is mainly used for nutritional supplements and enzymic preparations.
